    Description:
The battle of Atlanta was fought in this area in 1864. In 1889 Samuel Inman and Joel Hurt founded the Atlanta & Edgewood Street Railroad Company and brought transportation to residents of the historic area of Little Five Points. Some of Atlanta's oldest and most grand homes surround the area of Little Five Points. In the 1960's a proposed freeway marked the beginning of decline for Little Five Points. Little Five Points rebounded in the early 90's when the freeway land was turned into park. Free-spirited residents love this area of Atlanta. It's not uncommon to see an eclectic mix of familes, motorcycle riders, and people with tattoos, piercings, purple hair, and avant-garde style gathering in the center of town. Comments:
Bordered by Edgewood, Inman Park, and Candler Park. Most homeowners in the area will say they live in either Inman Park, Candler Park, or Edgewood. Little Five Points is known moreso as the conglomeration of funky shops, eclectic restaurants, and pubs at the corners of Moreland, McLendon, and Euclid.
